The SRM range of SRMtec are open screw compressors, which are available from 12 till 54 cm diameter.
The refrigerant gas is sealed by a mechanical seal.
The rotor profile 5/7 and some unique features make the SRM range one of a kind.
One of the features is the oil injection towards the beatings in combination of the size of the bearings.
This makes the SRMtec SRM models stable , fully suitable for VSD and it is an eye catcher for engineers especially in de sense of noticing of the tolerances between the parts of this compressor.
One very important issue, in compare with other screw compressors on the market, is the way the Eco is constructed. By the most well –know screw compressors the entry of the Eco port is in an angle of 90 degrees on the rotors. At the moment the Eco-port opens, the rotors will react on the entry of more load by bending. Another limitation was the position of the slide valve time of opening the Eco-port. We always recommend not to open the Eco port below the 78 % slide valve position. Depending on the compressor model the eco-port and Suction can become in direct line below the 78 %. It can happened that you only pump up your suction pressure and not inject in the captured refrigerant between the rotors.
The SRMtec ECO:
By SRMtec the ECO port is injecting in axial direction of the rotors. There will be no force to the rotors, therefore no bending and that is also a reason to keep very tight tolerances.
SRMtec SRM two stage compressors.
SRMtec introduced a line of two stage compressors which are designed by de construction of two rotor pairs behind each other. Therefore an automatic balance between high stage and low stage will be created.
The range of open compound compressors is available in the following models: 1612 , 2016 , 2620 and 3426. For instance, if we take the compressor number 1612- we should read the following: the first two numbers (16) indicate the rotor diameter of the low stage in cm and the last two numbers (12) indicate the rotor diameter of the high stage in cm.
All features together will result in a compact installation, which would run stable and keep the installation in balance.
